THE VANCOUVER GRIFFINS PLAY THEIR FIRST NWHL GAME
New Westminster - The Vancouver Griffins, the newest franchise
in the National Women's Hockey League, faced their first ever NWHL competition
today, hosting the Brampton Thunder at Queens Park Arena in New Westminster.
The Griffins lost 6-1 to the Thunder, one of the most dominant teams
in the league with a record of 8-1-1 going into this game. Lori Dupuis
and Meaghan Sittler each scored two goals for Brampton. Natalie Christensen
scored the Griffins only goal, assisted by Alana Gray and Samantha Wong.
